Adrien Brody Talks 'Predators' Sequel
From MTV: When studio execs green light a movie like "Predators," they're usually not thinking of it as a one-off; they've got franchise on the mind... which is why it was no surprise that the ending of this summer's man-vs.-alien reboot left the door wide freaking open for a sequel (or sequels).
"I think it's done well enough to justify [a sequel] for sure," star Adrien Brody told MTV News while promoting the movie's DVD release at New York Comic Con. It would seem that it has. The film cost a reported $45 million to make, and raked in $52.9 million domestically and $125 mil worldwide.

Alien Anthology Preview
From SFX: With the 30th anniversary of Alien rolling round just last year, and the 25th anniversary of Aliens sneaking up faster than a Facehugger in search of a gob, there could be no better time to celebrate the seminal science fiction saga.
To mark the occasion Twentieth Century Fox have applied all the bells and whistles… and then some to the Alien Anthology, released on Blu-ray 25 October. Earlier this week SFX was invited to take a sneak peek at what to expect from the Anthology – and we can tell you a new name isn’t the only thing that’s changed (though we are gutted “Quadrilogy” never caught on).
As well as shiny new transfers (including a colour-corrected, de-grained and Cameron approved Aliens that looks better than it even did on the big screen), the unflinching Alien 3 documentary is presented with 30 minutes of previously cut footage (including an onset Fincher outburst).
Also, there are over five hours of new/extended interviews, bringing the total length of special features in the set to over 60 hours!

Alien Prequel Stalled Over Budget and Rating
From Sky.com: Ridley Scott's proposed prequel to his 1979 horror hit Alien has stalled before production could even begin. The director is at odds with the studio behind the project, 20th Century Fox, over budgetary and creative differences, according to sources close to the production.
It would seem Scott wants a budget of around $250m to make it a sci-fi spectacular, and is also pushing for an 18-rated level of violence and horror. Fox, however, don't plan on investing anywhere near that sum, and are keen to get a 15 rating to maximise the audience appeal.

Ridley Scott Talks Alien Prequel
From Empire: Fresh from dusting off Robin Hood, Ridley Scott is turning his attention to the two-part Alien prequel. The project has been germinating since that xeno-baby first popped jauntily out of John Hurt's chest back in 1979 and with Lost co-creator Damon Lindoff close to turning in a script and casting announcements presumably not too far off, Scott's vision for the Alien origin story(s) is coming together nicely.
"The film will be really tough, really nasty," he tells The Independent of the 3D two-parter. "It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space."
