Fantastic Four 2 Rise of the Silver Surfer/Fantastic Four 2-Pack Widescreen

After exposure to cosmic radiation, four astronauts become the most remarkable, if dysfunctional, superheroes of all time. This exclusive DVD 2-pack includes two action-packed superhero films: FANTASTIC FOUR and FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER!

FANTASTIC FOUR: In this thrill-filled live-action Marvel Comics adaptation, director Tim Story (BARBERSHOP) balances comedy, romantic intrigue, special effects, high action, and even scientific trivia for a rounded FANTASTIC FOUR. Here, Mister Fantastic (Ioan Gruffudd), Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba), The Human Torch (Chris Evans), and The Thing (Michael Chiklis) come together on a space mission that goes wrong.

The ship's owner (Julian McMahon)--who later transforms into evil Doctor Doom--refuses to abort the mission during a solar storm, which electrifies the ship and its entire crew, causing radical changes to their DNA. Back on earth, the transformed "heroes" adjust to their new powers, which are specific to their personalities. Mister Fantastic, who lacks assertion, has stretchy limbs of rubber. Invisible Woman, who loves Fantastic but thinks he can't see her for who she really is, does a disappearing act. The Human Torch, an immature guy who is brimming with energy, can burst into flames.

And finally, The Thing, a great friend who is as solid as a rock, actually turns into one--and loses his wife due to his weighty disposition. Holing up in Fantastic's scientific lab where they run experiments on themselves in hopes of changing back to normal, the crew learns that Doctor Doom--who is so power hungry that he turns into metal and is able to conduct electrical currents--poses a serious threat. The heroes quickly master their abilities and channel their scientific smarts for one truly fantastic five-way face-off.

FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER: The sequel to the 2005 blockbuster FANTASTIC FOUR, RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER finds the Marvel superhero quartet of Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd), Sue Storm (Jessica Alba), Johnny Storm (Chris Evans), and Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis) facing an extraterrestrial threat in the form of the title character (played by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne), an enigmatic being whose presence on Earth could signal the planet's end.

Amidst the ensuing action, Reed and Sue attempt to tie the knot, and an old foe (Dr. Doom, portrayed by Julian McMahon) waits in the wings, allowing for plenty of levity and drama. An improvement on the original movie, this FANTASTIC FOUR outing, once again directed by Tim Story, gets much of its verve from the Silver Surfer himself. Played by Jones, an actor best known for his dual roles in PAN'S LABYRINTH, the Surfer is more than just CGI sheen, with subtle movements that seem truly alien and a voice of supreme gravitas, courtesy of Fishburne.

Reed and Sue deal with wedding woes, while the fiery Johnny (aka The Human Torch) and a rock-solid Ben (The Thing) provide an extra dose of humor in a power-switching plot, making the film much lighter than other Marvel offerings and ideal summer viewing for the tween set.

Fantastic Four
(Complete 1994-95 Animated Television Series)

Based on the Marvel comic book of the same name, THE FANTASTIC FOUR collects 26 episodes of the animated series that originally aired in 1994 and '95. The quartet of superheroes--elastic bodied Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the super-strong rock-man the Thing, and the Human Torch, who has the ability to set his body aflame--battle aliens and villains who threaten the safety and stability of the Earth.

Featuring voice talents such as Ron Perlman, Brian Austin Green, Kathy Ireland, Mark Hamill and more, THE FANTASTIC FOUR is an inventive cartoon series that utilizes many of the classic tales written by creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the 1960s.
