Tom Lister, Jr. as President Lindberg

Is that your idea of a discreet operation?

In the script, Lindberg is described as, age 50, the president of the United Federations, his features lined and worn by various delegations, mainly military. In the script, when the Mangalores take over the concert hall, the president orders a batallion to be sent for rescue.

Sonita Henry as President's Aide

We go live in one minute, Mr. President.

Brion James as General Munro

Sounds like a freak of nature to me.

In the scene where Munro visits Korben at his apartment to tell him he has been selected for the mission to recover the stones, the script gives an additional detail how Korben still has remaining obligation to the Federation Army.

General Munro, "Major Dallas, if our calculations are correct you still have 57 hours owed to the Federal Army on your enlistment which is more than you will need for a mission of the utmost importance."

John Neville as General Staedert

My philosophy, Mr. President, is shoot first and ask questions later. I don't like uninvited guests.

When the Evil globe is about to strike Staedert's ship, we see a close up the General. A black liquid starts oozing from his forehead, just like when Zorg was on the phone with Mr. Shadow. In the script, it's only sweat that beads from Staedert's head.

Al Matthews as General Tudor

It's not only advancing, it's moving at an incredible speed. We're having trouble following it.

John Hughes as Head of Military

It's moving toward the ship.

Julie T. Wallace as Major Iceborg

The script describes her as: Major Iceborg is a woman. All she needs to become a man is a mustache. In the script, Mr. Kim, the Thai food cook, had made Korben a disgusting dessert - jellyfish cake.

Later when he's trying to hide the three officers from Leeloo, he puts them in the fridge, shoving the jellyfish cake in Iceborg's hands.

Hon Ping Tang as Munro's Captain

The captain is an aide assigned to General Munro. In the film, he has no lines, but in the script, he has a few lines. It appears that his lines were given to Munro.

Colin Brooks as Staedert's Captain

The thermo-analyzers have jammed. One of them shows a million degrees, the others, minus 5000. The President is on the line, sir.

Martin McDougall as
Tudor's Warship Captain

It's gobbling up all the communication satellites in the galaxy.

David Garvey as Staedert's Technician

It's taking shape.

Stanley Kowalski as
Staedert's Technician

The probe will obtain its objective in five seconds.

Omar Williams as Staedert's Technician

120 is loaded.

Robert Alexander as
Tudor's Warship Technician

Sir, we're finally getting something.

Three hundred years later: Inside a spaceship control room, we see a digital control screen. Three planets projecting three straight lines that crisscross at one point. Identical to the one observed by the professor on the temple wall. General Staedert looks out through the ship's window at one of the three huge planets in eclipse. The thermo-analyzers have jammed.

One of them reads over a million degrees, the other's at minus 5000. From space, we see the large warship belonging to the Federal Army. A technician announces it's taking shape. In the middle of the shadows, a door to the nightmare has just opened. Evil is back. A round, moving mass, continually changing color. Staedert orders his crew to send out a probe.

New York City Headquarters: Lindberg, the president of the United Federations, enters the Command Center. There's a crisis in the air. The President's Aide leans down to his ear to announce he will be on air in thirty seconds. In the middle of the group is a Priest. A younger man David, 18, shy, a priest-in-training attends the old man.

Spaceship control room: Staedert reports to the president there are no results from the chemical and molecular analysis as of yet, all the calibers are overshot, at this time they do not know what it is other than it just keeps getting bigger. The president listens to his four generals recommendation, who unanimously agree to shoot first and ask questions later.

The old Priest, an expert of Asto-Phenomena, steps forward and offers an different theory. He is in his sixties, a shrewd look in his eyes. Priest Vito Cornelius. The Priest suggests that wherever there is life, it brings death, because it is absolute evil and shooting it will only make it stronger. In space, the probe impacts the ominous globe.

Evil swallows the probe and immediately bubbles over with activity like a furious volcano. In the headquarters, Cornelious continues his warning but the president does not heed his advice and orders General Staedert to fire when ready. Staedert order his crew to load a missile and mark the objective. All of a sudden, outside the ship, the strange planet's activity ceases. A black crust immediately covers it.

In the headquarters, a scientist reports that its structure has just solidified on the surface, as if it's anticipating the attack, denoting an intelligence. The President hesitates and tells Staedert he has a doubt, but the trigger happy general activates the attack anyway. The missile explodes from the ship and penetrates its target. The explosion is swallowed like a fizzy pill in a small glass of water.

Nothing happens. And then the mass grows larger. The President is growing ever more worried. Staedert orders another launch, a series of missiles heads for the planet, which absorbs them all. It literally doubles in size and it's moving toward the ship. The president orders Staedert to get out of there immediately.

They have no weapons more powerful than what they launched. A bead of sweat pearls Staedert's forehead. He is about to give an order when a gigantic flame emerges from the planet and literally swallows Staedert's spaceship. The flame fills the screen with a horrendous noise.

Cut to an apartment in South Brooklyn, New York: Something wakes up a man trying to escape from a nightmare. Korben Dallas rubs his face. Thirty five years old, short hair, powerfully built, unquestionable charm, good looking in spite of the scars here and there. The alarm clock is still ringing, it shows the date as March 18, 2263. It is two in the morning. He hears a cat mewing in the hall. The phone that is ringing.

He grabs the phone and crosses his tiny apartment heading for the door. Behind him, the bed makes itself automatically. On the phone is Finger. Korben opens the door for the cat. He grabs a cigarette, and stops to look for a light. On a shelf, is a collection of war decorations. A Medal of Honor Certificate to Major Dallas, a former major in the Federated Army's Special Forces..

Finger and Korben joke with each other, the have been friends for a long time, an old military buddy. We see a picture of Korben and his ex-wife on their wedding day. Korben mopes about his busted marriage and wanting the perfect woman. Korben finds a box of matches. He strikes one. Korben opens the fridge, bare, except for an empty can of Gemini croquettes.

On the packet is an ad: WIN A DREAM TRIP FOR TWO TO FHLOSTON PARADISE. Finger tells Korben he needs to bring in his hack (taxi cab) for the six month overhaul. Korben insists he doesn't need one. But Finger knows how he drives. Korben replies he drives a cab now, he's not a space fighter anymore. When asked how many points he has left on his license, Korben lies, telling him at least fifty.

Finger doesn't buy it and hangs up. Korben sighs and does the same, then leans back and enjoys his cigarette. A Gemini commercial comes on the wall TV, which Korben's cat watches with interest. Korben is about to exit the apartment, turns to the cat and says, "Don't watch it all day, sweetie. It will rot your brain." Korben checks the video hall monitor, sees it's empty, and opens the door to. . .

A huge gun, brandished by a nervous mugger, pointing right in his face. The mugger demands cash. Unperterbed, Korben looks at the mugger's fearsome weapon. Distracting him, he starts talking about the gun model, Korben seems quite familiar with the weapon, telling the mugger it's a good thing for him it's not loaded. The mugger is lost. He looks at his weapon.

He tells the mugger he has to push the little yellow button... Korben points to the button on the side of the gun. The mugger takes his advice. The mugger slowly presses the switch, shaking with fear, and then the gun makes a whimpering sound as if shutting down. And with lightning speed, Korben has his own gun in the mugger's face. Korben retrieves the gun from the mugger.

He pulls down a rack full of guns and adds the mugger's gun to his collection. The mugger backs away as Korben jokes about his hat, which is actually a photo of an empty hall, the view Korben saw from his video hall monitor. The mugger seems like he's about to jump out of his own skin and does a silly dance.

In the garage, Korben enters his taxi. A robotic voice greets him requesting his license. Korben complies, and starts to push a series of buttons on the dash. Korben hits one more button. The garage door starts to open. The robotic voices announces how many points he really has left on his license, only five.

As the garage door lifts, the Megalopolis that is New York City in this century comes into view. Startling in it's height, and breath. Korben lets the propulsion build and the gear slip. Upon exiting, he immediately hits the brake as a flying car zips by, then the taxi rockets off into the City.
