Alien 3 (Theatrical Cut) - 1992 | Story and Screenshots

This presentation includes some dialogue

Aaron escorts Ripley to the foundry's molding facility.

Ripley: Do we have the capacity to make fire? Most humans have enjoyed that privilege since the stone age.

Aaron: No need to be sarcastic.

Ripley and David are fetching Quinitricetyline for coating the prison tunnels.

Ripley: What's this "85" thing?

David: A couple of us sneaked a look at his personnel file the day he arrived. It's his IQ.

Ripley begins moving one of the drums, but David motions her to be gentle.

David: I saw a drum of this stuff fall into a beach head bunker once. The blast put a tug in dry dock for seventeen weeks. Great stuff!

Ripley goes over the plan with Dillon, who appears to be skeptical.

Dillon: Why should we put our ass on the line for you?

Ripley: Your ass is already on the line. The only question is, what're you gonna do about it?

As they carry out their plan, an explosion is caused by the creature's premature intervention, resulting in several deaths.

Some of the survivors gather to vent their frustration and speculate on their next move.

Meanwhile, Ripley is at the Sulaco escape pod where she enters the cryo-tube. A moment later, Aaron shows up.

Using the medical equipment built in the cryo-tube, Ripley scans herself with Aaron's help, and discovers an Alien embryo growing inside her.

Later, Ripley and Aaron are the communication center. He aligns the dish to transmit a call. She intructs Aaron to warn them the whole place is infected. But he protests mainly for his own desire to be rescued by the company's arriving ship.

Unable to convince Aaron to cooperate, Ripley goes to search for the creature.

Aaron returns inside the communication center and sees a transmission from the company's expediting medivac team, instucting that Ripley must be put in quarantine until their arrival.

While Ripley makes her way through the facility's infrastructure in search of the Alien, she hears a noise and investigates.

Ripley: Don't be afraid, I'm part of the family.

Ripley grabs a long pipe and searches further into the crevice filled with large conduits and pipes. She recognizes the familiar Alien domed head.

Ripley: You've been in my life so long, I can't remember anything else.

But when Ripley pokes at it with the pipe, it's just a rotted conduit, which crumbles in pieces and a swarm of insects pour out.

However, when she turns around, Ripley sees the Alien tucked up in a crevice. The creature leaps down towards her and the scene fades to black.

Dillon arrives in a room walled by bars where Ripley is waiting for him. Dillon is startled and about to swing his axe.

Ripley: It won't kill me.

Dillon: What are you doing? You're supposed to be laying low.

Ripley: I have one inside me.

Dillon: What are you talking about?

Ripley: I saw it on the cat scan. It's a queen. An egg layer. It can make thousands more like the one we've got here.

Dillon: Still sounds like bullshit to me. If that thing's inside you, how'd it get there?

Ripley: When I was in hyper-sleep, I guess. I don't have much time, and I can't do what I should. I need you to kill me.

Dillon: What the fuck are you talking about?

Ripley: I'm dead anyway. I can't survive it. But the one inside me can generate thousands more. It has to die. So somebody's got to kill me. Are you up to it?

Dillon: You don't have to worry about that.

Ripley turns and places her hands on the bars to brace herself for what's to come.

Ripley: No speeches. . . . No prayers.

Dillon positions himself behind Ripley, preparing to strike her in the back of the head with the axe. He swings the axe with great force, Ripley's head rears back, but he has smacked the bars instead.

Ripley: What's going on?

Dillon: I don't like losing a fight. Not to nobody, not to nothing. That damn thing out there has already killed half my men. Got the other half scared shitless. As long as it's alive, sister, you're not going to save any universe.

Ripley is furious because she thinks he didn't have the courage to end her life and grabs him roughly.

Ripley: You fucking coward!

But Dillon returns the aggression with greater force, slams her against the wall, and declares . . . .

Dillon: I want to get this thing, and I need you to do it. And if it won't kill you, then maybe that helps us fight it. Otherwise, fuck you!

Ripley slumps to the floor after he releases her and is about to exit.

Ripley: Dillon. We waste this thing, then you take care of me.

Dillon: No problem. Quick, easy, and painless.

Dillon attempt to rally his men into action. They are reluctant to take on the alien before the rescue teams arrives.

Dillon: Right, okay, just sit here on your asses. Fine.

Morse: How about if I sit here on my ass?

Dillon: No problem. Oh, I forgot. You're the guy that's made a deal with God to live forever, huh? . . . [to the others] And all the rest of you pussies, can sit it out too. Me and her'll do all the fighting.

Morse: Why the fuck can't we wait for the company to have some guns on our side? Why should we go on a fuckin' suicide run?

Ripley: Because they won't kill it. They might kill you just for having seen it, but they're not gonna kill it.

Aaron: That is crazy! That is horseshit! They will not kill us!

Ripley: When they first heard about this thing, it was crew expendable. The next time they sent in marines. They were expendable too. What makes you think they're gonna care about a bunch of lifers who found God at the ass-end of space? You really think they're going to let you interfere with their plans for this thing? They think we're crud. And they don't give a fuck about one friend of yours that's died. Not one.

They form a plan to lure it into the foundry's molding facility using themselves as bait and drown it in molten lead by trapping it via closing a series of doors in a certain order.

Dillon: You're all going to die. The only question is how you check out. Do you want it on your feet? Or on your fucking knees, begging? I ain't much for begging. Nobody ever gave me nothing! So I say fuck that thing! Let's fight it!

Dillon: There's nothing "for sure" in this place.

Dillon: You just better be right about that thing not wanting you. Because if it wants out, that's how it's going to go: through that alcove, through you.

David: I have a problem with this.

Jude: Which part?

David: The part where we're running around down here in the dark with that fucking thing chasing us.

Within moments, an inmates stumbles on the Alien, which has already made a kill. The chase begins.

Kevin: This thing is really pissed off!

Jude tries to goad the alien into chasing him.

Jude: Yoohoo. Hey, fuckface. Come and get me!

David is now in a corridor, alone.

David: Here, kitty, kitty, kitty!

David finds the creature, throws his flare at it and runs. After chasing him, he manages to seal it off. Moments later, the Alien has managed to find another way in and kills David.

Eric is with Ripley when they spot the creature scampering by. Eric panics and heads for the piston lever, but Ripley manages to calm him down. By now, the company's rescue ship has landed.

Dillon is searching for his mates when he finds the creature mauling Kevin. He manages to drag the severely wounded Kevin away, but the creature gives chase to reclaim its prey. Dillon reaches the pistons chamber where Ripley is located as Kevin dies in his arms. The Alien appears, snatches Kevin's body, and retreats. The pistons are activated, so they have to lure the creature back quickly into the chamber.

Elsewhere, Aaron greets the company's rescue team and escorts them to the molding facility. Ripley goes to search for the creature, but it has tracked down and killed Jude within inches of Dillon. Morse and Gregor, running in a panic, crash into each other. After having a laugh about it, the Alien attacks and kills Gregor. When Morse crawls away, he runs into Ripley.

She tries to lure the Alien back to the pistons chamber, grabbing its tail with no success. Dillon shows up and grabs Ripley forcefully to get her out of there. The creature thinks Dillon is attacking her, and approaches to defend the host of its queen. This ploy allows them to lure the Alien back into the chamber. Once there, Morse seals all three of them in the pistons chamber and climbs up to the molding control station.

Ripley: I'm staying!

Dillon: Bullshit! There's gonna be ten tons of hot lead in here!

Ripley: I keep telling you I want to die!

Dillon: We got a deal, remember? It dies first, then you! I'm not going to move without you! Now get going!

Ripley climbs upwards with Dillon right behind her, to get out of the mold. However, Dillon notices the creature is also climbing upwards, so decides to remain behind.

Ripley: Dillon?

Dillon: I've gotta hold it here.

Ripley: What about me?

Dillon: God will take care of you now, sister!

Dillon is being savagely mauled by the Alien.

Dillon: Come on! That's all you've got? Is that as hard as you bite, motherfucker?

Morse pours the molten lead onto both of them.

The Alien, covered in molten metal, escapes the mold but is quickly killed by Ripley when she turns on fire sprinklers and sprays the beast with water, causing its exoskeleton to cool rapidly and shatter via thermal shock.

The Weyland–Yutani team enter the molding facility, including a man who looks identical to the Bishop android, claiming to be its creator. He tries to persuade Ripley to undergo surgery to remove the Queen embryo, which he claims will be destroyed. Ripley refuses and steps back onto a mobile platform, which Morse positions over the furnace.

The Weyland–Yutani team shoot Morse in the leg, prompting Aaron to pick up a large wrench and strike Bishop II over the head with it. Aaron is then shot dead, and Bishop II and his men show their true intentions.

Bishop II: Ripley! Think of all we could learn from it! It's the chance of a lifetime, you must let me have it! It's a magnificent specimen.

Ripley defies them by throwing herself into the gigantic furnace. The alien suddenly erupts from Ripley's chest. Ripley holds on to the alien so it cannot escape the inferno, and Ripley and the alien queen both fall into the fire to their deaths. The facility is closed down and the last surviving inmate, Morse, is led away by company guards.

Soldier: Come on, move it!

Morse: [grinning] Aw, fuck you!

A sound recording of Ripley (her final lines from the original Alien) is heard from the Sulaco escape pod . . .

Ripley: Ash, Captain Dallas are dead. Cargo and ship destroyed. I should reach the frontier in about six weeks. With a little luck, the network will pick me up. This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.
